Crazy Baby

Oaklee is definitely her father's child. She has a HUGE personality. She's always making us laugh and is able to get her point across quite clearly without the need for words. She is the most smiley baby ever. And much like her dad, she finds herself hilarious. This next string of pictures was taken over a 30 second period. I was just sitting there with the camera. I wasn't making any faces or talking or anything. This is all her just enjoying herself. Weirdest kid ever.....

Easter

It was Oaklee's first Easter yesterday and it could not have been better. Saturday morning we did brunch and an Easter Egg Hunt at my mom's. Ryan spent the day driving home from work, so he missed out, but it was a blast. This is the basket Oaklee got from my parents.

She wasn't shy about digging right in.
And of course, never far from her side, her best friend
Parker helped her check out all her new toys.
Oaklee feel asleep during the actual hunt, so we didn't get any pictures of that. But after she woke up we had some more fun playing. Who wouldn't want this in their Easter basket?
Ryan got home late Saturday night after working 12 hours and then driving 14 hours with no sleep in between. Poor kid. We were SOOO excited that he would be home for Oaklee's first Easter. We have 9:00 church, and after Ryan's long day I wasn't expecting him to go with us but he did and it was great. Between his being gone for work, and Oaklee being sick, it as been MONTHS since we were all three at church together. We heard some beautiful Easter talks in Sacrament and it was a perfect start to our day. After church we headed home to change and then go to Ryan's mom's for lunch. Here's our little Easter bunny on her first Easter.
Cutest bunny ever? I think so. At Dixie's house we had lunch with some of his family, including his cousin who has a little boy that is two months younger than Oaklee. Despite being younger, he has a good 4 or 5 pounds on her.
He has also started crawling, which Oaklee has no inclination to do. We had them spend some time on the floor in the hopes that Blaine would inspire her to start, but no. She just waited for him to come to her and play. Lazy or just clever?
After lunch at Dixie's we headed up to my grandparents house for dinner and another egg hunt. One of Oaklee's other favorite people, Jayne, was there.
I didn't get any pictures of this egg hunt either. Clearly I'm great at documenting. But it was an awesome dinner and so good to see everyone.
This last picture makes me giggle. At my parents house the day before each of us got a little present. The girls all got beach towels and the boys all got super hero t-shirts. Without planning it they all wore their shirts the next day to my grandma's (minus Hunter who was still in his church clothes). I forced them to let me take a picture, which annoyed all of them, but it made me laugh that they all matched. So cute. We have Parker: Iron Man, Aodhan: Superman, Kenny: Captain America, and Ryan: Green Lantern. Hunter's shirt was spider man.
Our Easter couldn't have been better, and I think now that Ryan is gone so much we both appreciate more the time when he is able to make it to these family things. Lucky for us the Easter fun isn't over yet! Kara, Perry, and Pete will be in town tonight and we are going to do all the fun Easter stuff with them. Oaklee hasn't dyed eggs yet so I'm excited for that. And anoter egg hunt with Pete will be so much fun. More pictures to come!
